Ansys wanted to elevate its brand visibility and thought leadership presence at Mobile World Congress (MWC), one of the most influential global events in connectivity and technology.
The objective was to position Ansys at the forefront of conversations around 5G, AI and semiconductor innovation, engaging both media and industry analysts across key European markets including the UK, France and Germany.
To achieve this, the campaign needed to secure high-quality media and analyst engagement, align messaging with MWC’s dominant themes, and maximise the visibility of Ansys’ senior spokespeople throughout the event.
Firefly developed a targeted event-led media strategy designed to capitalise on Ansys’ presence at MWC.
The approach centred on aligning Ansys’ messaging with the event’s most relevant and high-impact themes, including 5G rollout, AI in telecoms, connected ecosystems and enterprise transformation, ensuring strong relevance with attending media and analysts.
To deliver this, Firefly:
– Developed and tailored media pitches linked to key topics such as intelligent connectivity, IC packaging and IoT
– Identified and pitched key Ansys spokespeople for interviews ahead of and during the event
– Engaged analyst houses and coordinated briefings and interviews on-site
– Created thought leadership angles to position Ansys as an expert voice within the MWC narrative
– Extended outreach beyond the event to a wider media landscape to maximise coverage opportunities
This proactive and coordinated approach ensured consistent visibility across pre-event, on-site and post-event activity.
The campaign delivered strong media and analyst engagement across the MWC period.
Firefly secured five key interviews across the event timeline, including:
– Pre-event opportunities such as Le Garage des Telcos
– On-site interviews with outlets including GlobalData, Analysys Mason and Heavy Reading
– Post-event coverage with titles such as IoT Insider
In addition, broader media opportunities were secured with leading industry publications including Telecoms.com, Capacity Media, Silicon Semiconductor, New Electronics, Industry of Things, ME and JDN.
Overall, the campaign strengthened Ansys’ media profile and visibility across EMEA, reinforcing its position as a thought leader in next-generation connectivity, AI and semiconductor innovation through high-impact messaging and expert commentary.
