Firefly Accelerates the New Masternaut’s Market Debut

Firefly has just wrapped up a major project for telematics software provider, Cybit, which recently announced its decision to combine with Masternaut, heretofore, its no. 1 competitor in the market for vehicle tracking and fleet management solutions. The combination of the top two brands creates the industry’s first pan-European telematics stalwart. 

Firefly’s remit – which included strategic positioning of the “new Masternaut”, internal and external communications, and pan-regional media relations – was led out of Firefly London and implemented by teams in the UK, France, Germany and Nordics . 

The announcement marked an inflection point in both Cybit and Masternaut’s histories as well as the broader industry, which is rapidly consolidating to meet the needs of a geographically distributed customer base. Firefly was appointed for its track record in managing corporate announcements for clients in fast-growth sectors and in delivering the infrastructure to ensure a coordinated, seamless approach across multiple markets.

Firefly Scotland scoops financial business for Origo

On the back of the successful launch of its latest planner tool, Origo, the standards and services body for eCommerce in the UK financial services industry, has appointed Firefly Scotland to undertake a media and social media campaign.

In 2010, Firefly helped Origo build awareness of its Adviserwise platform, set up to encourage the uptake of eServices across the financial services industry. The service offers advice, support, training and information about the services available for financial advisers.

Firefly helped Origo set up the Adviserwise blog and its Twitter presence, advising on content, as well as placing thought leadership articles in key industry publications such as Money Marketing and IFA Online. The new brief will see Firefly advising on more social media matters.

Justine McCoy, eServices Adoption and Marketing Manager for Origo, said, “After considering our options and testing the market, we chose to re-appoint Firefly as it delivers what it promises and has the best ideas. Firefly’s brief is to adapt our PR engagement plan to ensure the blog stays alive and fresh; and to increase our social media followers as well as maintain relationships with key publications to enhance our thought leadership programme.”

Crucial.com looks to Firefly to widen its appeal

Firefly London and Firefly Paris have been selected to boost awareness of Crucial.com, a one-stop-shop for computer memory upgrades.

Crucial is a leading manufacturer of RAM and SSD solutions for desktop and notebook computers. Firefly already serves as the lead European PR agency to Crucial’s sister brand, Lexar, and will use its expertise in consumer/consumer tech media to make new inroads for Crucial.com.

The Crucial.com project was awarded to Firefly in December 2010 to support its overall goal of increasing mainstream consumer footfall to Crucial.com in the UK, France and US. The Firefly London team will serve as the lead on the international PR project.

Everyclick selects Firefly to promote Give as you Live™ online shopping

Firefly London has been appointed to launch Give as you Live™ , an ambitious and innovative new online shopping application powered by Everyclick. Give as you Live™ has the potential to raise tens of millions for the charity sector in 2011 by turning every pound charity supporters spend online into funds for their favourite cause.

The campaign has a six-figure PR budget allocated to inspire the nation to Give as you Live™.

63 charities are already using the technology with the number of charities signing up growing every day. Those involved in the current pilot include The National Trust, Breast Cancer Campaign, ZSL Conservation, Tommy’s The Baby Charity and Starlight Children’s Foundation. These charities are already using social media campaigns and toolkits, supported by Firefly, to help recruit supporters to Give as you Live™.
