Search for digital pro bono brief

Digital specialist, Firefly Communications has today pledged to invest £5,000 per month of agency time to boost one lucky charities brand or online presence.

“For 2009 we want to marry our leading online social media expertise with pro bono support for one particular chosen charity and are calling on the wider PR industry to do the same”, said Claire Walker, Firefly’s founder and CEO.
“The key to effective digital communications is mastering the art of authentic conversation and balancing business objectives with valid input to the community,” continued Walker. “However, many organisations often jump into the fray on a tactical impulse, then unfortunately don’t succeed. This is why it’s important to utilise professional communications expertise with a genuine depth of knowledge of the online world. Organisations that take the time to plan and develop a digital strategy that is integrated with their overarching communications initiatives will see better results, and we want to help charities do just that.”

PR Week will help judge the briefs and once Firefly has chosen which charity it believes it could best help, it will work with the PRCA to connect other PR agencies to the rest of the applicants.
