bebo and Steria campaigns shortlisted for PRCA Awards
Not just one, but two of Firefly’s campaigns made it through to the final PRCA 2009 Awards shortlist for our work for bebo and Steria.
Steria, an international, IT-enabled services company and Firefly were tasked with positioning the company as ‘one Steria’, creating sustained interest whilst delivering feature coverage in UK national media. The campaign was a success and achieved fantastic results. In the Q2’09 Apollo Research report for share of media voice, Steria leapt to No.2 position (previously No.8), beating other large competitors. As a result this campaign was shortlisted for the PRCA Technology award.
The Crisis Management category saw recognition for Firefly and bebo’s work to maintain “social networking innovation whilst preserving reputation”. Firefly’s objective was to uphold bebo’s reputation as a fun, safe and responsible social networking destination, in the midst of growing concern about child online safety. Firefly successfully managed numerous media inquiries, which erupted in close proximity to the Safer Internet Day activities. The momentum from Safer Internet Day 2009 helped extend bebo’s profile as one of the more progressive social networking sites, owing to its high level of involvement with policy makers and support groups at both a UK and European level.
