Firefly has won a three-way pitch for Royal Haskoning - an engineering, architecture and environmental consultancy with 4,300 employees, operating worldwide. Royal Haskoning are the consultants behind a number of high profile international projects including the Palm Island development in Dubai, the Panama Canal expansion and the development of various flood alleviation projects here in the UK – it is also currently consulting on the first marine turbine (a tidal energy convertor) undergoing installation in Northern Ireland. Royal Haskoning's specialist areas include infrastructure & buildings, marine, coastal & river developments, transport & planning, as well as the environment.
Firefly will be tasked with handling UK PR - the programme will aim to raise awareness and improve understanding of the business within the UK market. It will be an issues-led campaign looking to position Royal Haskoning at the forefront of commentary on topics ranging from sustainability and renewal energy through to the UK engineering skills gap and the fortunes of the construction industry post 2012.
